Pink curing salt, also known as Prague powder or tinted curing mixture, is a salt used in the preservation and curing of meats. It inhibits the growth of bacteria which can cause botulism poisoning. Its pink colour is due to the addition of a dye to distinguish it from regular table salt as well as give the meat you are curing a slight pink hue. This curing salt comes in a 600g resealable tub.
Pink curing salt is not intended for direct consumption and should only be used in curing meat products.
